Who the scratch board with drawer suits

A good fit when

Many dogs fight the clippers. Here the dog does the filing: you put a treat in the drawer, the dog scratches at the board to get it, and the 120-grit surface takes a little off the nails each time.

The board is thick natural wood, so it stays put. One sandpaper sheet is fitted and a spare comes in the box.

Know before you buy

  • It works on front paws. Back nails still need a trim.
  • It keeps nails short between trims. It will not shorten badly overgrown nails in one go.
  • Some dogs learn it in a day and some never take to it.

Honestly the best thing I have bought for my dog! He absolutely hates his nails being trimmed. We have tried so many different ways to make it easier on him, spend hundreds of dollars on different kinds of nail grinder, clippers and nothing worked. He has loved this product from day one! He constantly is scratching at it and even starts whining when it’s empty!

Pretty pricey. It is effective and cuts. It is not durable. I just got this today and the first use my maltipoo used the leather tag to pull the drawer open and get the treats and then took off with the door to chew on it. I took the leather piece off because you can just slide it in and out with your hand. Then he started scratching it open but after he gets a treat I have to close it to make him get another or he takes the door out all together. Need a new drawer for it because now he tries to use his teeth to get it open.
