Who the lift sling suits

A good fit when

An old dog still wants to go out, but the back legs give way on the stairs. You slide this sling under the belly in front of the rear legs, hold the padded handle and lift just enough to steady the dog.

The flannel sling comes in four sizes: S for 8 to 29 lb, M for 30 to 59 lb, L for 60 to 109 lb and XL for 110 to 180 lb. A white birdseye cloth version in M and L soaks up leaks. Both wash by hand or machine and fold small.

Know before you buy

It supports the dog. It does not treat the cause: ask your vet what the weakness is.
You carry part of the dog's weight. With a 110 lb dog that is real work for your back.
Go by the distance between front and back legs as well as by weight.

One of my older dogs who weighed 120 lbs needed help getting around and particularly up stairs. This product was much wider than previous ones that I had used but also much softer and very well made. Since you can adjust the length of the straps this worked perfectly for what I needed it.I would recommend this harness for a large dog

Our senior tripod was ill and unable to stand. We bought this hoping we could help him. He ended up falling and busting his nose and the trauma with his illness was not good. That being said I can't recommend this product.
