Who the front-entry litter box suits
A good fit when
Most litter leaves the box on the cat's paws. Here the cat walks in through the front door and can leave through the top lid, so the litter drops back before the paws reach the floor. Turn the knob up and the front door swings both ways.
The top lid closes by itself and holds a charcoal filter. The stainless steel pan lifts out on its own for rinsing. In the box you also get a scoop, a step for kittens and older cats, and a honeycomb mat that catches stray litter.
Know before you buy
- A cat that will not jump has to use the front door both ways. Set the knob up for that.
- The box is 15.67 inches tall and needs free space above the lid.
- It weighs 9.9 lb, more than the plain enclosed box.
